Ragtime was a challenge for me to design- this version had an enormous cast requiring several levels and many location and mood changes. In the end, this was accomplished by a flexible stage design with a large tower off the stage right proscenium, an apron extending the floor space of the stage, and a creative projection and lighting design. The projection images here are my own, many of which actual representations of the historical landmarks the scenes represent. Most of the set was built by Upstate Scenic, NY, who do excellent work. Below is a clip from the production- I was also at the sound mixer for this production, co-mixing with Brian Kelly, running our 36 channel board (and we used every one!)
